What is Equestria Technical Services?

Equestria Technical Services handles refrigeration, climate control, and gas appliance repairs for Pretoria East homes, with repair requests across 19 pages.

How soon can you get to Pretorius Park?

Pretorius Park is inside our core service area, so standard bookings are usually offered same day or next day. Emergency air conditioning call-outs are prioritised — mention it when you call 069 268 0988.

What does a call-out include?

A full on-site diagnosis, a clear explanation of the fault, and a quote before any work starts. Common spares are carried on the vehicle so many repairs are finished in the same visit.

Do you only regas, or do you find the leak first?

We find the leak first. Adding refrigerant to a leaking system is a temporary fix that wastes your money — we locate and repair the leak, then charge the system correctly by weight.

Do you work on Alva equipment?

Yes — Alva is one of the brands we see regularly in Pretorius Park, both in domestic homes and in commercial installations.

Do you give a warranty?

Yes. Workmanship and any part we supply are covered, and the terms are written on your invoice before you pay.

Common symptoms

Does this sound like your air conditioning problem?

Temperature is not holding, even with the control turned down

Water is pooling inside the unit or on the floor

The unit trips the breaker or earth leakage when it starts

The compressor runs continuously without reaching set point

The unit is louder than it used to be, or rattles when it starts

Pretorius Park is settled suburb with many older freezers still in daily service, and that shapes the air conditioning work we do here.

Our aircon maintenance covers scheduled coil, filter, drain and electrical checks. We arrive with test equipment, recovery gear and the fast-moving spares that fit most units in this area.

On Alva equipment we work to the manufacturer's component layout and error codes, which shortens fault finding considerably and keeps replacement parts correct rather than approximate.

Most Pretorius Park jobs are completed on the first visit. Where a part must be ordered, we tell you the wait up front.

Diagnostic process

How we diagnose this in Pretorius Park

01Confirm supply voltage and inspect the plug, cord and isolator
02Measure compressor current draw and test start components
03Check airflow, fan operation and condenser cleanliness
04Read suction and discharge pressures against ambient conditions
05Verify defrost cycle, sensor readings and controller settings
06Electronic leak detection or nitrogen pressure test where loss is suspected
07Re-test temperature pull-down before we leave site

Repair & maintenance

What the repair usually involves

Typical outcomes are start relay and overload replacement, fan motor or fan blade replacement, thermostat or sensor replacement, defrost heater and timer repair, drain clearing, door seal replacement, brazed leak repair with a correct charge by weight, and compressor replacement where electrical testing confirms it has failed. We charge for diagnosis honestly and credit it against the repair.

After the repair we re-test performance and explain what caused the fault, so you can avoid a repeat. For air conditioning equipment in Pretorius Park, a short annual service is almost always cheaper than the breakdown it prevents.

Equipment we regularly attend to on this type of call: Aircon Repairs, Aircon Installation, Aircon Maintenance, Aircon Servicing.
